Square Dance Socks | Knitting Pattern and Optional Kit

Introducing the Square Dance Socks designed by Andrea Yetman! Made with our hand-dyed yarn, Super-sock, these socks are more than just a fashion statement; they provide warmth and comfort for those chilly days and nights.

I’ve had this design in mind for such a long time. The idea was inspired by the words Square Dance. I wasn’t sure where to go from there. So this idea sat with me for a while. Then I seen this beautiful square motif and the Square Dance Socks came to be. I like socks that allows me to enjoy the process as much as the finished product. Once I got a couple repeats completed, I no longer needed to follow the pattern making these ideal to take on the go! Having been requested socks that would also be suitable for the men in our lives, these are perfect as they aren’t feminine or masculine and comes in 4 sizes!!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDE

• The Square Dance Socks pattern (sent as a PDF numeric file) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.
• LOUISE ROBERT COLLECTION - SUPER SOCK [75% merino wool sw, 25% nylon; 400m per 100g]
  • 100g shown in Vankleek Hill (MC)
  • 50g shown in Nature (CC)

IN ADDITION TO THIS KNITTING KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• DPN (or long Circular needle for knitting magic loop) in size 2.5mm (1.5 US) - Or size required to obtain gauge.
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers

SIZE - ADULT XS (S, M, L)

Length of foot: adjustable.

GAUGE

36 sts = 10 cm – 4” in Stockinette Stitch

NOTE

The Square Dance socks are knit from the top down with an easy-to-follow square motif pattern that travels down the front of the leg and continues into the foot. The heel is constructed using a Forethought Heel but feel free to use your favourite method!
