You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES

• The Papillon de Glace Socks knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.
• BISCOTTE YARNS OR PATRICKNITS SIGNATURE - BIS-SOCK [85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 400 m per 100 g] - 1 SKEIN - shown in Poudreuse for the original version and Chrom Pom Pom for the new version
• 1X 10G BAG OF CZECH SEED BEADS (you only need 15 beads of for this pattern (6/0 or about 4 mm diameter), but we only offer bags of 10g / about 166 beads) - shown in Clear for the original version and Black for the new version

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• Circular needles (with cable length of 80cm (32'') for magic loop) or DPN'S of 2.5 mm (US 1.5) - or size required to obtain the gauge.
  
• Tapestry needle
• Cable Needle
• A small crochet or other instrument to bead the stitches;

SIZE - ADULT ONE SIZE

Foot of length is adjustable.

GAUGE

32 sts x 40 rows = 10 cm (4") in stockinette stitches.

NOTE

This pattern is worked from the top down with a heel flap. You can use circular needles or a set of 5 double-pointed needles. If you choose to use double-pointed needles, be sure to separate the first half of the stitches onto needles 1 and 2, then the second half onto needles 3 and 4. This new edition of Papillon de glace offers the stitch pattern in both chart (p.3) and written form (p.4). A tutorial for beading the stitches can be found on page 7.
