Skadi Matching Hat & Cowl | Knitting Patterns

This kit by Lindsey Faciane of The Chesapeake Needle with a lovely cable pattern:

• A Hat knitted in the round from the rib up and seamless.

• A Cowl knitted in the round, without seams and from bottom to top.

Louise Robert Collection – DK Pure (90% Merino wool and 10% Silk, 238 m / 260 yds, 115g) 2 skeins in ECUME for the kit: hat and cowl.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS

4.5mm (US 7) circular needles (or the needle size required to obtain gauge). Double pointed needles (DPN’s) of 4.5mm (US 7) can be useful when the circumference of the hat diminishes but you can also use the magic loop technique.

GAUGE

21.5 sts and 29 rows = 10 cm [4”] worked in the round over St st, after gentle blocking.
