Kamouraska is a municipality on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River, named one of the top 20 most beautiful villages in the province of Quebec, Canada. The name "Kamouraska" comes from an Algonquin word meaning "where rushes grow at the water's edge", creating a wonderful and poetic connection to the shawl's crocheted edge.

Like a journey on the St. Lawrence River, this shawl is crocheted from tip to tip, starting with a narrow section that gradually increases towards the center and tapers off again towards the end. The body of the shawl features a beautiful shell pattern along its border.
