Extruded Scarf | Knitting pattern and Optional kit

Here is the latest design of Christine Guest, the Extruded Scarf !

The Extruded Scarf starts with a disappearing Cast on (Emily Ocker’s Cast on, or the Pinhole Cast on works too), then increases to a flat square in Quaker Welt. The first two sides of the square are bound off, then the last two sides continue in Quaker welt with increases in the center and decreases on each side.

You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES

• The Extruded Scarf knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.
• BISCOTTE YARNS - DK PURE [90% anti-felting merino wool, 10% silk; 260 m for 115 g] - 2 SKEINS (in self-striping colorway) - shown in Cactus Flower
  

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• Circular needles or DPN'S of 4 mm (US 6) - or size required to obtain the gauge.
• Stitch markers (1)

• Tapestry needle

Finished measurements:

• Width: 18 cm / 7''
• Length: 213 cm / 84''.

GAUGE

19 stitches x 34 rows = 10 cm (4'') in Quaker Rib after blocking.

NOTE

The initial square section uses the Disappearing Cast on, (Emily Ocker's Cast on, or the Pinhole Cast on work too). The first two sides of the square, and also the end of the scarf are bound off in Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind off in purl.
