Brei Sweater | Free Knitting Pattern and Optionals Kits

Check out the Brei Sweater by Andrea Yetman! The colorwork in this pullover is engaging and fun to knit! Whether spicing it up with bright and bold colors or more neutral as shown in the sample, this will be one to take you through the seasons!

Originally launched in 2020 with the DK Pure merino-silk yarn, we are thrilled to introduce a new version of this design, now knitted with Suri Alpaca, resulting in a lightweight and fluffy sweater.

You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

IN ADDITION TO THIS KNITTING KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• Circular needles | Main Fabric | 4 mm (US 6) - cable length of 80 cm (32'') and preferred needles for small circumference knitting - or the size required to obtain the gauge
  
• Circular needles | Ribbing | 3.5 mm (US 5) - cable length of 80 cm (32'') and preferred needles for small circumference knitting - or the size required to obtain the gauge
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch holder or scrap yarn

Finished Bust Circumference: 84 (87, 92, 95, 100, 105, 111, 121) cm / 33 (35, 37, 38, 40, 42, 45, 48) in.

GAUGE

23 sts and 27 rows = 10 cm (4”) using larger needles on Stockinette stitch.

NOTE

Brei is knit seamless from the top down in a circular yoke construction and meant to be worn with 1-2 inches of positive ease. Follow the charts at the end of the pattern to know when to join in the new color.
