Acanthus Yoke Pullover | Knitting Pattern and Optional Kits

Since antiquity, the acanthus leaf motif has been widely used in the fine arts and architecture. Today, I present to you my version of this iconic leaf on a "yoke" style model knitted with the beautiful and sumptuous Highland wool. - Louise Robert ♡

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL

• Circular needles | Main Knitting | 8 mm (US 11) - cable lenght of 100 cm (40") or longer - or size required to obtain the gauge - and your preferred type of needles for knitting in the round for a small circumference.
  
• Circular needles | Ribbing | 6.5 mm (US 10.5) - cable lenght of 80 cm (32") or longer - or 1.5 mm smaller size required to obtain the gauge - and your preferred type of needles for knitting in the round for a small circumference.
• Stitch holder or a contrasting color yarn to place the stitches of the sleeves on hold.
• Stitch Markers
• Tapestry needle

Final bust circumference: 88 (99, 108, 119, 131) (140, 149, 160, 169) cm; 34.5 (39, 42.5, 47, 51.5) (55, 58.5, 63, 66.5)" with a suggested ease of +/- 10 cm; 4". Please refer to the diagram at the end of the document for more details.

GAUGE

14 stitches & 14 rows = 10 cm; 4" knitted with the larger needles before blocking.

NOTE

This pullover is knitted from the top down and in the round. You can adjust the length of the body and sleeves as needed, while keeping in mind to also adjust the amount of yarn required to complete the pullover.
